SLAibrary

This médiathèque in Chicago encourages interpersonal connection. By analyzing the distribution of languages, I found that there is linguistic diversity in the Near West Side, where the site is. In order to stimulate language learning and cultural connection, I organized the program using the principles of SLA, or Second Language Acquisition. This project was presented at the SLATE Symposium on May 3rd, 2018, a linguistics symposium at UIUC and was shortlisted for the 2018 Creative Conscience Awards.
