Charlotte Fuss, Bruna Sanches, Hallee Thompson and I were interested in how public health guidelines in light of COVID-19 intersect with the built environment. Through a UM College of Engineering competition in the summer of 2020, we developed a masking solution aimed at increasing student mask-wearing while decreasing traffic to laundry rooms.
